Valerie Lynn (Smith) Kulbaba

Valerie Lynn Kulbaba (nee Smith), beloved wife of Ritchie Allen Kulbaba, peacefully passed away on April 15, 2024, after celebrating 50 years of marriage to her devoted husband. She was a cherished mother to Christopher Kulbaba and Sherri (John) Auclair, and a loving grandmother to Phoenix, Ethan, Jackson, and Carter.

Val, born Valerie Lynn Smith, was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Smith, her father, Allan Smith, and her brother, Allan (Scott) Smith. Despite the loss of her loved ones, Val's spirit remained resilient and filled with love.

She filled her days with joyous activities, indulging in her passions for camping, gardening, and cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays. She found camaraderie and laughter in the Spades league she helped establish, where her opinionated yet witty nature shone through.

Her vibrant spirit was as colorful as her favorite hue, purple, and her sharp intellect and humor touched the lives of all who knew her. Val believed in angels and found solace in the magic of Christmas, embodying kindness and warmth throughout the year.

In her leisure, she found solace in the artistry of Thomas Kinkade, finding peace and beauty in his luminous landscapes. Though Val may have departed this world, her laughter, wisdom, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.

A Memorial Service will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 Street NE) on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 1:00 pm
